Description. Climbs an obvious crack system on the west face of Val Biois.

History. The route was climbed as an alternate approach to the Col del Bloque Empotrado and the Goretta Pillar. The first asencionists skipped climbing to the summit of Val Biois and went on up via the Casarotto and Kearney-Knight variation to the summit of Fitz Roy.

Approach. Paso Cuadrado to Glaciar Fitz Roy Norte.

Descent. Down to the west from the Bloque Empotrado, or up and over the summits of the Goretta Pillar and Fitz Roy and down the Franco-Argentina ("failing upwards" at its best).
